Hi there! My name is Susie, and I am a Porta Lung user.
When I was a baby I contracted spinal meningitis which left me totally paralyzed. The doctors said I didn't have much of a chance to live. However, God had other plans!
After living on positive pressure respiration for the first 4 years of illness, we heard about the Iron Lung through a friend and getting it changed my life forever! A new portable version of the Iron Lung called the Porta Lung has been invented within the last 20 years that is proven to be better than the Iron Lung.
